State Road 836 Dolphin Expressway Extension and Construction of NW 137th Avenue
As west Miami-Dade County has grown, so has the need for additional mobility solutions. MDX is constructing a new section of State Road 836, Dolphin Expressway that extends the popular expressway from its current ending at Florida's Turnpike to NW 137th Avenue. The 3.1mile, four-lane extension will provide drivers heading to and from the western suburbs of Miami-Dade County with a faster, more direct connection to central Miami-Dade County. The Dolphin extension will be the first SunPass only road in Miami-Dade County.
