Projects

The MDX Engineering Department strives to deliver safe and efficient mobility solutions to the public and provide vital communication with stakeholders and neighbors through the duration of a project. The department is divided into four functional sections: Planning, Design, Construction and Operations/Maintenance.

The department's primary responsibility is to ensure that MDX's five roadways are safe for the traveling public. In order to meet this demand MDX provides 24/7 oversight, management and direction to its asset maintenance, Road Rangers, bridge inspections, contractors and coordinates with the MDX Traffic Management Center (TMC) to respond to emergency situations, keep the roadways in safe working order and aesthetically pleasing.
