How Does SunPass® Work?
SunPass lets a vehicle pass through specially equipped lanes without stopping. The transponder transmits and receives signals as the vehicle goes through designated SunPass lanes. At each passing, the appropriate toll is deducted from the customer's prepaid account. The driver does not have to stop to pay a manual toll.
The car owner need not worry about the transponder being stolen from the vehicle; the device is small enough to fit inside a glove compartment, pocket or purse, and can easily be removed for safekeeping.
