SR 836/I-95/I-395 Interchange
The new signature bridge connecting SR 836/I-95/I-395 has made significant progress since its groundbreaking in 2019. A joint partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), this design-build project seeks to improve safety, mobility, and quality of life in Miami-Dade County. Having already introduced an additional lane for drivers going to northbound I-95 from eastbound SR 836, the project will introduce another improvement this spring by opening a new ramp from northbound I-95 to eastbound I-395. On their daily commutes, drivers can expect to see bridge foundations being erected, traffic shifts for widened lanes, and the construction of the double-decked connection to southbound I-95 from eastbound SR 836.
