GMX SR 836/Florida's Turnpike Ramp Connections

The SR 836/Dolphin Expressway New Florida’s Turnpike Ramp Connections project, which began in May 2022 and is scheduled for completion in Spring 2024, is a design-build project that will significantly improve access to the commercial and residential areas west of Florida’s Turnpike. The project is currently undergoing earthwork, drainage, landscaping, and barrier wall installation at different locations. The contractor recently completed the bridge placement and concrete deck pour of the new southbound Florida’s Turnpike ramp to westbound Dolphin Expressway. They also shifted the alignment of the exit ramp from southbound Florida’s Turnpike to eastbound Dolphin Expressway to accommodate the new connections. Construction activities are ongoing at the Dolphin Expressway Extension while construction crews work on widening the roadway. Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on the Dolphin Expressway and Telemundo Way.
