Roadside Assistance
KEEPING YOUR FAMILY SAFE ON OUR ROADS
Free Roadside Assistance on any Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Roadway Dial *347
Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Road Rangers circulate throughout all roadways (SR 112, SR 836, SR 874, SR 878 and SR 924) 24 hours/7days week to respond to emergency situations and keep the roadways safe of hazardous road debris. If you get a flat tire, run out of gasoline or your vehicle otherwise becomes immobile, please turn on your hazard lights and pull your vehicle over to the road shoulders outside the main traffic lanes, lock your doors and remain in your vehicle until an MDX Road Ranger marked vehicle arrives to render “free roadside assistance”.
The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Traffic Management Center (TMC) will spot your disabled vehicle on the side of the road from one of our traffic cameras and notify the Road Rangers and Road Rangers are always driving on our expressways searching for broken down vehicles, so your wait will usually be less than 15 minutes. They carry the following tools to help you get back on the road as quickly as possible:
- Cell phones
- Auto Fluids
- First aid kits
- Flares
- Five-gallons of sand
- One-gallon of gas
- Fire extinguisher
- Flashlight
